“Trees of The Murano” at Murano

Artist Barbara Astman is deeply interested in the concept of marrying the natural world and urban environment in her work. Barbara’s intention was to animate the building of Murano Condominiums somehow and the idea of reflection of trees on windows became a starting point for her installation. Using silhouettes of winter trees against multi-coloured glass, the artwork changes with the time of day as light diffuses through it differently each time while maintaining an unobstructed view of the outside world.
